D'Artist

Cassidy LOVES her Gymboree_Play_and_Art classes! We've been going there for so long now, Cassidy has learned what the shopping center looks like. Once we turn the corner (regardless of which direction we're coming from), she starts yelling "Gymbo's House!! We're going to Gymbo's House!!!" It's a little sad this session, because most of Cassidy's good friends have either moved away (Lacey), stopped coming to Gymboree (Olivia), or have already moved to the three year-old classes (Alyssa). The one cool thing is that Cassidy is FINALLY on the top of the development ladder when compared to the other kids in the Level 5 & 6 Play class. I never thought the day would come!!

By the time the next session starts, Cassidy will be three. Three year-olds go to Play class by themselves while Mommy and Daddy wait in the lobby, which means we won't be participating with her after this session.

How did she get to be so grown up so fast?!?

Happy Birthday, Dear Mommy...

To celebrate my birthday, we decided to take Cassidy to Busch_Gardens and Great_Wolf_Lodge for the weekend. Boy, did we have fun!! Cassidy loved riding the Sky Lift and the train at Busch Gardens. After a few hours, we headed to Great Wolf Lodge to cool off. I would love to meet the person that came up with the idea for the Great Wolf Lodge. The hotel was HUGE and every sqaure foot of it was geared toward the children. Even the waitress at one of the hotel restaurants was a pro at the kid-friendly thing... she was actually able to convince Cassidy to sit in a booster seat by telling her it was a special princess throne! The indoor waterpark was our favorite part of the hotel - it doesn't get much better!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend. What a great birthday!

The Princess and the Pea-zza

For those that may not know, we finally broke down and bought Cassidy a big-girl bed. It's a twin bed, but it's built like a toddler bed - it has rails all around and sits about a foot off of the ground. The really cool thing is that it's made by Flexa, so when she gets a little older we can turn the bed into a princess castle with a ladder and slide!!

She's slept in it for about a week now, and some nights have been better than others. A few nights ago, she started crying at 5AM so I went to investigate. When I got to her room, I asked what was wrong. And she said she wanted some pizza.

It makes me wonder... what in the world goes through that 2 year-old mind in the middle of the night?!?
